Views of Glendale
This picture shows smoke from many of the sawmills and the burning of debris throughout Glendale this particular day. On your left and 2/3 of the way up the Presbyterian Church Steeple can be seen. The church burned along with the town in 1928 and was relocated to Pacific Ave from Willis where it is shown here. The old church foundation was used for the construction of home where it continues today. Notice the boardwalk along what is now Sether Ave. Below is another view that shows the Clarke Hotel located near the railroad, the depot and railroad water tower to your right. The Presbyterian Church is on your far left. The large stack of wood in the lower left would have been for the steam locomotives on the railroad.
