Stumbo Toll Road
The year was 1956. The Stumbo family had repeatedly tried to get the Oregon Highway Department to acknowledge that they had never purchased a strip of land upon which highway 99 traverse. Finally after being ignored the Stumbo brothers took matters into their own hands and closed the highway to created a toll road. This is the newspaper articles from the event. Thanks to my dear friend Shorty Clayton for providing the articles.
