From Darby Hill Looking Down Cow Creek

This photo from Darby Hill (Near Reservoir) shows Gray Back covered in snow in the distance.  The house in the middle of the photo is the Section Foreman's house.  It was the house of Herschel Foster for many years in the 1950's and 1960's.  The bunker oil tank (for the steam engines) can be seen on the right edge.  The large open space would be used to skin the bark off of trees to make poles in the 1950's.
